We pray for Anglican theological educators throughout the Gafcon network, asking afresh that the Holy Scriptures would truly form the essence of their teaching, being treated as inspired by the Spirit, and thus considered to be completely trustworthy, united, clear, sufficient, and summed up in the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The coordinator of the Gafcon Theological Educators Network, The Rev’d Canon Dr Bill Salier, acknowledges the importance of teaching our tradition through history, as well as reflecting on the relevant social and cultural context and the Anglican practice of ministry, but he urges us to keep the integrating power of seeking to know God deliberately central.
Gafcon is growing orthodox leaders as we support like-minded colleges through this network of mutual encouragement, and so we pray that this would truly enhance faithful and sound theological education that strengthens seminaries around the world.
