Anglican Aid (Sydney) is partnered with Toliara Diocese in Madagascar. The Anglican churches have been growing very fast, but life continues to be hard, with drought and famine.

At the recent Gafcon Australasia Conference, the creation of the Diocese of the Southern Cross was formally announced, with Bishop Glenn Davies as the initial bishop.
