The Complementarity of man and woman in the African Christian Context

Written:

The Most Rev Nicholas Okoh, Primate of Nigeria, looks at the state of the institution of marriage in an African Christian context. He blends a Biblical understanding of marriage with a knowledge of traditional African marriage to show how marriage should be a means and a model for the Church. In opposition to the prevailing view in the West, he defends the fact that men and women are different and therefore complementary in marriage but also that African culture also needs to be shaped by Scripture.
