Communique:

Welcome to the Newest Primates

It has been an honour to gather this month with leaders of the Anglican Communion to celebrate the installation of the Most Rev. Enrique Lago Zugadi as new Primate of Chile, and the Most Rev. Vicente Msosa as new Primate of Mozambique and Angola.

The Lord is raising up leaders who long to see the Bible at the heart of the Anglican Communion, and who seek to lead their provinces in faithful obedience to God’s word.

Archbishops Enrique and Vicente are both graduates of the Gafcon Bishop’s Training Institute, where they benefited from the wisdom and insight of experienced, global Anglican leaders, and we are thankful to God for how your gifts towards this program are having a significant impact on orthodox, global Anglicanism.

Please join with me in praying for Archbishop Enrique and Archbishop Vicente in their new roles, and ask that the Lord might use them to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:12).

Pray also for the upcoming G25 Mini Conference in Plano, Texas, USA, where these two, newest primates will join the senior leaders of Gafcon this March to help lead our global movement, as we continue to reset and renew the Anglican Communion, for the glory of God.

Yours in Christ,
The Rt Revd Paul Donison,
Gafcon General Secretary.
